These four-week courses are meant to provide incoming graduate students necessary skills and knowledge to apply economic concepts to economic problems, an overview of the most commonly used mathematical techniques in economics, and an overview of the basic tools and techniques used in solving optimization problems.
Traditionally, the schedule of classes for MA and MDE are conducted separately.
2023
This photo shows the online Bootcamp class held last 2023 in preparation for A.Y. 2023-2024. It was a great privilege to have Professor Emeritus Rolando Danao as one of the instructors for M.A. Economics candidates. Although most of the classes were set to be conducted face-to-face, due to the unexpected transportation strikes, some of the classes were shifted into online mode. Nevertheless, these applicants were on fire and never got distracted by uncertainties in achieving their goals to get into the program.
2022
Bootcamp classes for A.Y. 2022-2023 were conducted online via Zoom application. It started on July 25, 2022 until August 13, 2022. All those who have successfully passed the assessment exams of the Bootcamp every after a week of classes may advance their application to the program applied.
